DNA GROUPS

DNAs are groups of 3 or 4 men or women pursuing spiritual friendship with the hope of becoming more like Jesus.

WHAT IS A DNA GROUP?

Spiritual friendship is a deep friendship centered on Jesus; one where it’s safe to be vulnerable and honest because there is no need to pretend, hide, or impress. If we are going to become like Jesus, we need to see each other’s lives and be willing to submit to others speaking into our lives. DNAs are an opportunity to regularly process through your spiritual formation in close proximity with people who know your story, are aware of your struggles, and are committed together to looking at God’s word for ongoing transformation.

DISCOVER

Being together in the everyday allows for visibility and accessibility. We see each other’s lives in the everyday stuff so that people know what it looks like to follow Jesus in all of life. With familiarity and accountability, we are able to authentically assess and encourage growth in discipleship.

NURTURE

One on one discipleship will lead to a disciple looking like the one who discipled them. Community discipleship will lead to disciples looking more like Jesus as he works through the diverse people and gifts in his body. Community is also the context in which we care for each other as a good family and live out the one-another passages of Scripture (e.g. bear one another’s burdens, pray for one another, submit to one another, etc.)

ACT

Every missional community identifies a group of people God is sending them to love, serve, and share Jesus with. It could be a neighborhood or network of relationships. Some choose to love and serve local schools, while others will identify people they already are in regular relationship with. We want to see every place where we live, work, learn and play blessed by God’s people on God’s mission
